Network IP Camera Systems are a very popular option amongst home owners. These systems offer HD resolution with one wire installation.
Network IP cameras systems offer the same picture quality as their HD coax counterparts. IP has the advantage of being able to transmit larger HD images then coax based systems. IP systems can go as high as 20MP per camera. The key difference with these systems is that they use standard network cables instead of coax cable for video transmission.
SINGLE CABLE INSTALLATION
The cameras in the HDIP system use the same cable for both power and video. Just turn on your recorder and connect your cameras and the system automatically begins recording. Power over Ethernet (PoE) eliminates the need to run separate wires to power the camera making installation quicker and simpler. Because CCTV Corp recorders have a built-in PoE switch, you can run your cable directly from the camera to the recorder without any additional equipment required.
1080P HD VIDEO
CCTV CORP HDIP recorders capture IP video at 1080p. With a resolution six times higher than standard definition, it is the equivalent of upgrading your security video from VHS to Blu-ray™. Standard definition analog video has a resolution of 704 x 480 pixels. When shown on an HD monitor, each pixel has to be enlarged to six times its original size! The result is grainy video, even on high-definition displays. Both the cameras and recorders in the HDIP system are capable of 1080p high-definition video, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Every pixel is shown at its original size, and there is no grainy distortion--only crystal clear high-definition video.
HD VIDEO OUT
Much like HD coax systems our IP camera systems also offer HD video outputs like HDMI and VGA. These connections allow you to connect directly to your television or HD computer monitor.
Many of our Network Video recorders allow you to use multiple technologies together. You can mix and match IP cameras, Analog cameras and HD coax cameras all on one system! This is ideal for home owners that previously had an older analog system installed and simply would like to add new HD cameras.
WHEN TO USE IP CAMERAS
IP cameras only use one cable to transmit power and video and makes running cables much easier. IP cameras also allow you to install cameras at longer distances like a pool house or front gate by using Wi-Fi antennas to extend the signal. This keeps labor cost down. IP cameras can also be used individually without an NVR since they all have built in web browser support for remote viewing.
ON BOARD STORAGE
Many of our CCTV Corp IP cameras also offer built in SD storage to record directly on the camera. This allows you to install IP cameras without a Network Video Recorder. The cameras allow you to do playback directly over the internet or home network so you never have to physically take out the SD card. You can even program the IP cameras to record on motion detection or send you push alerts based on motion detection.
MOBILE ACCESS (FREE APPS)
The suite of free mobile applications enables anytime, anywhere access to your video system. Users of iPhone™, iPad™, and Android™ mobile devices will enjoy the ability to easily connect, view live video, search video, and configure the NVR. The HDIP video system may also be accessed remotely using Internet Explorer to view and search video from any personal computing device.
